9-Speed Sequential SportShift Automatic
The powerful MDX 3.5-liter V6 is attached to an equally powerful 9-speed sequential SportShift automatic transmission. This drivetrain is fully automatic, and yet, with the addition of standard paddle shifters, you can shift on the fly and have an impressively fun ride with manual shifting. In automatic mode, the driver can choose how they want their MDX to shift with two drive modes. Normal mode emphasizes fuel economy, and sport mode makes quicker downshifts and higher RPM upshifts.
Fold-Down Seats
The second- and third-row seats fold down to provide multiple cargo and passenger configurations. With all the seats up, you have 15 cubic feet of storage capacity behind the third row. Fold that 50/50-split third row down and you’ll have room for 45.1 cubic feet of cargo. Taking it a step further, you can fold down the 60/40-split second row to achieve a full 90 cubic feet of cargo capacity. You can fold down the seats in different configurations to create the perfect spots for both cargo and passengers.
